SILC LSS Streamed Media Request

School of International Letters & Cultures faculty, including faculty associates and teaching assistants, may use this form to request streamed media for delivery in Blackboard course shells.

Policies

SILC Learning Support Services (LSS) adheres to copyright law and educational fair use guidelines.

  • Materials for streaming must be legally acquired from licensed distributors.  SILC LSS does not stream off-air recordings of broadcast television or unlabeled homemade DVDs.  LSS will stream instructors' personal, legally-acquired media.
  • Media is only streamed for instructional purposes.  You will need to certify that all titles are required or recommended in your syllabus.
  • Streamed media must be requested for each session in which it is to be used.  All media is made inaccessible no later than the last day of finals for the session.
  • Physical media, whether LSS-owned, or instructor-owned, will be retained by LSS and withdrawn from circulation while the stream for the item is live.
