A research proposal is ONLY REQUIRED for students wanting to be considered for the SOLS Undergraduate Research Scholarship. The proposal should be 5-6 pages in length; describing a plan of research for the following year, including a clear hypothesis and statement of the project significance.
Files must be less than 2 MB.
Allowed file types: pdf.
SOLS Awards Questions
These are different from scholarships because they don't rely on outside donors to fund. They are entirely funded by the department.
Miles Orchinik True Grit Award
This award is given to a student who may not have the highest GPA due to extenuating circumstances such as medical needs, serving as a caregiver, being a single parent, meeting military demands, etc. However, these students still work just as hard or even harder to overcome academic pressures to pass their classes.
Additional Documents
In 300-500 words, please describe your interests, accomplishments, and pursuits. You may wish to discuss what influenced your choice of major, the contributions you’ve made to organizations or communities, and/or your academic or career plans.
